"Using primarily personal photography and some found images from online, this series focuses on mystical revelations and self-exploration regarding my own identity. Here, collage is an act of divination--active practice of interpretation and augury. For me, working in this medium is often analogous to an oracle receiving transmissions from a "higher source power." Collage is my methodology for receiving messages and exploring ideas but it requires use of hieroglyphics / symbols to weave digital tapestries. They are preservations of a lineage, a quilt to be passed down. The series is the result of channeling disparate sources of chaotic experiences and images into intentional order. By doing so, a piece of myself may be actualized within this tapestry."
